Lawrence R. Catuzzi

Lawrence R. Catuzzi was first appointed to a two-year term to the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority by the Harris County Judge's Office in October, 1998, and has served on the Board since that appointment.  His current term expires in August, 2008.

Mr. Catuzzi currently serves as Director for Financial Security Assurance, Inc., (FSA), where he utilizes his diversified investment banking background to concentrate on national business development.  Prior to joining FSA, he spent nine years with Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Inc. as a Managing Director.  Prior to that, he served on the Board of Directors of Underwood, Neuhaus & Co., Inc. in Houston and in the Municipal Bond Marketing and Sales Department of the Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York.

Mr. Catuzzi is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees.  He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the American Diabetes Association, The Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas Foundation and The Flight 93 Federal Advisory Commission.  He also formally served on the Board of Trustees of the Houston Grand Opera, the Board of Directors of Lakeside Country Club, the Board of Visitors of the University of Dallas, the Board of Directors of Buffalo Creek CC, Ltd., the Board of Directors of Naylor Industries, Texas Southern University Advisory Board and Underwood Neuhaus Financial Corporation.

In recognition of his investment banking and public finance expertise, Mr. Catuzzi was selected in 1980 as a member of the Public Finance/Legislative Committee of the Public Securities Association.  He is also a past chairman of the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas.  Lawrence Catuzzi is married and has two daughters and six grandchildren.
